Strategic Plan 2005-2006:
GOAL 1: RMPANA will establish viable means of communication with members.
Strategies:
- Publish quarterly newsletter with continued quality improvement of content and increased involvement of members.
- Institute regular communication with members via e-mail. Create task force for member identification that have e-mail.
- RMPANA website evolving.
GOAL 2: RMPANA will continue to evaluate the current organizational structure and future development of the component.
Strategies:
- Promote recruitment and retention of members.
- Provide incentives to new component members.
- Send welcome letter to new members.
- Educate members regarding organizational structure and benefits of membership.
- Recognize certified nurses and encourage certification in the perianesthesia field.
- Evaluate vitality of each component district.
- Continue monitoring status of Districts II and V and work to encourage involvement.
- Participate in ASPAN’s established recognition programs.
GOAL 3: RMPANA will provide continuing education specific to the perianesthesia arena.
Strategies:
- Make continuing education available for district offerings.
- Make scholarships available to members.
- Create a relationship with schools of nursing.
- Develop a scholarship program for student nurses.
- Provide educational materials and opportunities to schools of nursing.
Goal 4: RMPANA will strengthen leadership development.
